Replication software (SRDF) is being used to replicate data to the recovery site SAN. In this configuration, if a disaster occurs at the primary site, recovery consists of: Recovering the virtual machine template files to the recovery targets or recreating virtual machine configuration (which is usually a short and simple process) Booting the virtual machines. Restarting applications. Since their data was replicated, they already have a copy of their data on the SAN at the recovery site.
