The complementary nature of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children
(WISC) and the Illinois Test of Psycholinguistic Abilities (ITPA) is assumed pro-
fessionally by their joint use to assess learning-disabled pupils. Meyers (1969) has
reviewed the factor studies of the ITPA and concluded that there are
