This paper presents an adaptation of Keim’s visual analytics process framework to incorporate knowledge from the analysis domain. The methodology is implemented as an interactive visual analytics technology for extracting knowledge from complex genetic and clinical data and then visualizing them in a meaningful and interpretable way. The paper presents the enabling visualization models and modes and the developed technologies.
