The design of a wireless data link system capable of transmitting and receiving 1 Gpbs data with a Bit Error Rate (BER) better than 1E-6 is presented. The system was designed in 60 GHz ISM band. The spectrum between 57-64 GHz provides a continuous block of 7GHz bandwidth, which provides a scope for very large data rates in this band.
