Insulator-to-metal phase transition materials have been an interesting research subject with enormous application potentials due to their drastic changes in optical, electronic, structural properties [1]. As one good example, vanadium dioxide (VO2) displays first-order insulator-to-metal phase transition near 68 oC [2]. This transition can also be triggered by optical beam, electric bias or external strain [3-6]. The lattice structure is transformed from monoclinic to tetragonal structure as the temperature rises. Also, the dielectric constant changes by several orders of magnitude during the transition [7]
