EMVCo, LLC (“EMVCo”) is the owner of the EMV Contactless Communication Protocol Specification v2.0.1 hereinafter called the EMV Specifications. EMVCo’s objective in establishing the requirements for Device Test Environment described in this document is to help vendor to prepare part of the Test Environment that is needed for testing Proximity Coupling Devices (PCDs) used in Proximity integrated circuit chip card terminals for sufficient conformance with the EMV Contactless Specification for their stated purpose as of the date of such testing, subject to all of the limitations and restrictions of the type approval process set forth herein. This document describes the requirements the Device Test Environment developed by the vendor has to comply with, to allow Contactless Terminal Level 1 Type Approval Testing. The target audience of this document includes: •PCD Vendors •Testing laboratories accredited to perform the type approval tests
