The reader should have a good understanding of the purpose of a file system as well as the associated vocabulary (file, directory, partition, etc). Implementing file system drivers is already a daunting task, unfortunately except for tidbits of information here and there most of the documentation for the Second Extended Filesystem is in source files. Hopefully this document will fix this problem, may it be of help to as many of you as possible. Unless otherwise stated, all values are stored in little endian byte order.
