IEEE论文 During the 3rd ECRR in 1991 a new generation of 64 QAM radio relay systems developed for the transmis- sion of SDH- and PDH- signals has been presented by Mr. Geidel et al. [I]. The most advanced version from the technical point of view as well as with respect to cost effectiveness and frequency economy was a system with quadruple carrier transmission, using both fre- quency and polarization multiplex techniques with Cross Polarization Interference Cancellers @PIC). It is the purpose of the present paper to give a more detailed description of the modulators and demodulators mentioned in this context, the concepts of which have been slightly modified since the last publication and which are in production now. Furthermore measurement methods and results will be discussed.
