设备清洗方法 Hardware-based, library-based, or auto cleaning The robot determines when the drive needs to be cleaned. Robotic automatic Media Manager notifies the drive that it needs to be cleaned. TapeAlert The drive is cleaned according to an administrator-defined frequency. Frequency-based Manually invoke cleaning through the Device Monitor, tpclean, or vmchange commands. Use robotic device controls directly. Manual (operator-initiated) This slide shows you the various methods for cleaning devices. >>> Robotic automatic cleaning, means hardware-based cleaning, or library-based cleaning. In this method, you identify cleaning tapes in the library in a special area that is designated by the library, and then it will use those tapes, and the robot will automatically determine when it needs to be cleaned. >>> The second option is to use Tape Alert, or software-based cleaning. In this method, the Media Manager tracks cleaning as needed and notifies the drive that it needs to be cleaned. >>> Frequency-based cleaning is where the drive is cleaned according to an administrator’s frequency. Earlier you saw a screen where there was a setting where you could specify how many hours between cleanings. >>> Finally, there is manual cleaning, which is where you invoke the cleaning either through the device monitor, or by using the tpclean command from the command line. By the way, tape cleaning from the GUI is new in NetBackup 6.x.
