固定效应模型fixed effects model的存在是为解决这个经典的内生性问题，即time invariant (不随时间变化的)的内生性问题存在于每个单个样本中，所以解决方式是控制单个样本。time fixed effects are another dimension of impacts that may drive the association between the left hand side and main variables of interest. 所以，不是必须，是fixed effects model本身就是解决这个问题才使用的。比如，你可以不控制 firm fixed effects 但是只控制industry fixed effects。但你一定要justify为什么这里面不适用firm fixed effects。
