程序员跟软件开发工程师有区别吗？

刚刚入行，对于一些叫法区别不太了解，请问像程序员跟软件开发工程师之类有什么区别吗？
还有数据库开发跟DBA区别是什么呢？

肯定有区别啊，一个是程序员，只有三个字，一个是软件开发工程师，七个字，多了好几个字呢

能否解释下具体工作中的区别，而不是字面上的，呵呵

程序员是统称。我现在是高级软件开发工程师，还是被叫做程序员。

the word 'coder' means that you are a laborer of industry, a worker of workshop, or a dockhand of wharf. there are two difference between you and donkey: you can speak, but donkey only brays; you sit down to eat your food, but donkey stands up to eat its food. 

the word 'engineer' means that you are a 'coder' with a useful brain. sometimes your boss needs you to clean up the mess made by coders, sometimes your boss needs you to teach coders how to get job done, or sometimes your boss needs you to drive coders to work day and night...
