前身：SWRRB model (Simulator for Water Resources in Rural Basins) (Williams et al., 1985; Arnold et al., 1990)
同时综合其他美国农业部的三个模型成果：

GLEAMS3 (Groundwater Loading Effects on Agricultural

EPIC4 (Erosion-Productivity Impact Calculator) (Williams et al., 1984).
