WHEATLEY Purdue University Many researchers investigating the Piagetian conservations have used an individual testing procedure patterned after the revised clinical method of Piaget (1952). They have generally employed concrete materials which can be manipu- lated and have usually established a standard testing procedure acceptable for experimental research. Although Goldschmid and Bentl
