AgeneralparametriccontrollerdesignmethodisproposedforHopfbifurcationofnonlineardynamicsystem.Thismethoddoes notincreasethedimensionofthesystem.Comparedwiththeexistingmethods,thecontrollerdesignedbythismethodhasalower controllerorderandasimplerstructure,anditdoesnotcontainequilibriumpoints.Themethodkeepsequilibriumoftheorigin systemunchanged.Symboliccomputationisusedtodeducetheconstraintsofcontroller,andcylindricalalgebraicdecomposition isusedtofindthestabilityparameterregionsinparameterspaceofcontroller.ThemethodisthenemployedforHopfbifurcation control.TakingLorenzsystemasanexample,thecontrollerdesignstepsofthemethodandnumericalsimulationsarediscussed.
