In order to locate emergencies and monitor the security of chemical laboratories and dangerous goods warehouse, an indoor safety detection device and a handheld terminal are developed by use of MSP430 MCU, temperature and humidity sensor, combustible gas sensor and smoke alarm. And a wireless sensor network(WSN) information management system is designed based on VC++6.0. The experiment results demonstrate that the safety detection device can accurately monitor the parameters, such as the temperature, humidity, combustible gas concentration and smoke status in chemical laboratories.
