Rhapsody UML 导航控制

This project has the objective of familiarising with Rhapsody, a Unified Modeling Language (UML) based development tool. The additional goal of embedding the developed software in a TMS-320LF2407 board has appeared to be out of the scope of the project. It turned out that Rhapsody assumes a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) at the target, for which the TMS board did not qualify. During the project, the Rapid Objec-Oriented Process for Embedded Systems (ROPES) has been followed. This method prescribes ‘cyclic prototyping’, an iterative approach allowing early testing of analysis models, even though they are not complete (Douglas, 2000). To discover the possibilities of this tool, it has been chosen to use it to model a Cruise Control (CC). The objective of getting acquainted with Rhapsody proved to be successful. A fully functional CC has been developed and comprehensive knowledge of the tool has been gathered and documented. It is recommended that further research is dedicated to improve the control law used for speed maintenance, as well as to development of a graphical user interface allowing plotting of the system output and easy event insertion. Furthermore, development of a framework for Rhapsody, allowing embedding in non-RTOS, is recommended.
