3-6. Sending an E-mail
Fred: Hi, Linda. Could youspare me a few minutes of your time? Could you tell me how to write E-mail?
Linda: Sure. It’s notdifficult. It’s just like writing a letter.
F: Just like writing aletter?
L: Yes. After writing, youcan send it.
F: How to send it?
L: Run your mail programand type the address you want to send the mail to.
F: Then, what shall I do?
L: You can press Tab toskip to the subject field and type a Subject.
F: Can I send the E-mailafter finishing that all?
L: Yes, you can. Have youknown how to do that?
F: Yes, I got it. Thankyou. But I have one more question. How shall I send a Word document?
L: It’s the same as usual. Theonly different lies in that you need to paste the Word document as anattachment.
F: Can I E-mail severalWord documents that are large files altogether?
L: I think so, but you willprobably need to compress the documents together into a ZIP file, and thenpaste it as an attachment. There are limitations to the capacity of an E-mail.Commonly it’s not more than 10MB.
F: I see. Thank you verymuch.
L: My pleasure. You canfirst try to send me an E-mail, if you want.
F: OK. I will.
