Did you know that mobile phone manufacturer collect your info without notifying you? Did you know your mobile phone may check in to manufacturer's server automatically and frequently? It sounds terrible but it did happen. Let me show you some example what's going on in background.

Why manufacturers need your zip code,Area,IMEI, Locale,Timezone..All they want is to identify you as possible as they could.

Furthermore they collect Device S/N,Model number..and Location. So manufacturers will always know where you've been.

What's the purpose manufacturers doing this? Maybe for sales promotion or data mining. Actually they have no rights to collect personal data for any reason. Of course they will claim that they protect your privacy very well, but who knows??? Did you ever receive fraud phone calls or SMS? Now you could realize why they got your phone number and personal data!!!
